First Cold Evening

Soft enough to talk over, good enough not to.

One song everybody knows the words to.

Rain on the window, 1993 edition.

Warm guitar for a cold evening.

Proof a sad song can still make a room dance.

The bassline that settles every fight over the aux.

Lights down for this one.

A slow dance for two, or for one.

The gentlest song about burning out.

Brutal lyrics, sweet melody: the best kind of pick.

For when everyone has gone quiet.
